Vague ramblings

BBC2 in “Gets decent show” shocker.

Blimey. The Beeb has bagged Heroes.

Now all they need to do is show it too early and cut it to ribbons. But the BBC would never do something stupid like that, would they?

*wonders if she should point and laugh at the naivety or go for assuming sarcasm*

      *chortle*

Well, an American friend did recently describe me as “the poster boy for English sarcasm”…

        My path is set then.

Don’t get me wrong…if you *want* to point and laugh I won’t be offended (although that may of course defeat the object…).

Oh really? Do we know when (as in what time of year) we’re expecting it?

    • Ian Cundell said, on 3 January, 2007 at 7:11 pm

Not really. See if you can glean anything:

Not much; but it seems to be a part of the Winter/Spring line-up – so that means some when between now and May. So it shouldn’t bee too long to wait.

It’s also turning up on the UK Sci-Fi Channel soon, for those that have joined the 21st Century. 🙂

Okay; FYI “Jericho” is coming to “Hallmark” at the end of the month. I don’t know if that’s any good or not…

        I was wondering that myself.

From the descriptions alone, it could go either way…

On the subject of new seasons (as we sort of were), BSG season three starts on Sky next week (and the trailers make it look very interesting – and even more “political” than ever before). I’ve not heard anything about CSI (the real one), or House yet though (but I suspect both within a couple of weeks).

I’ve been watching Jericho. It’s quite good – but certainly not Heroes good. I suspect it was pitched as an answer to Lost, but it isn’t really – it doesn’t show any of the signs of being such a shaggy dog story (which is a good thing), plays with some interesting ideas but isn’t as deep as it thinks it is. It is mostly highly watchable, and when it dances around the science a bit this is usually to keep it that way.

The best thing in it is Alicia Coppola’s (no relation) turn as a tax inspector. She rocks.

Okay, thanks, I’ll certainly give it a look.
