Vague ramblings

Don’t know if any of you good folk have come across Eureka (on Sci Fi and at a guess over here too, since the person who pointed me at it doesn’t do the whole DL thing).

Anyway, it is set in the town of Eureka, which was set up (at Einstein’s suggestion) as a place for the brightest and best to gather and do advanced science stuff for the benefit of the USA. It is played with tongue very firmly in cheek, but pulls a nicely dark uncurrent out when you least expect it.

Very entertaining, endearingly bonkers and highly recommended.

Oh, and it has the computer expert from Terminator 2 in it and he looks exactly like he did back then. A few Buffy alums behind the camera.

It’s on Sky One. The pilot was pretty good, I didn’t get a chance to watch this week (second episode)…

Worth sticking with – it keeps the same sensibility. Probably best not to think too hard about the science though.

And I still can’t quite believe they got away with the anal probe joke.

Incidentally, I’ve unsubscribed to RB – Colan is very professional but is just devoid of personality. Maybe when they stop the Have I Got News For You mistake of writing scripts for the old presenter I’ll look again.

Mobuzztv gets my vote at the moment.

Do feel free to chip in...but be courteous when doing so. Ta.
