Vague ramblings

Sometimes I just love the Beeb

Posted in Musing by Ian Cundell on 7 April, 2005

In HMV this afternoon and I discover that the Beeb has released The Flipside of Dominick Hide and its sequel Another Flip for Dominick on DVD. If you aren’t familar with these terrific bits of early 80s SF (from the Play For Today strand, no less), treat yourself.

I have vague recollections of that one – I had forgotten it was the swoonsome Peter Firth in the title role though.

Not to mention Caroline Langrishe as the love interest.

I very dimly remember it also.

Wouldn’t Peter Firth have been about 12 when this was made? *checks IMDB* Oh no, that’s Colin Firt I’m thinking of. So Peter Firth is the bloke from Spooks and *cough* LifeForce.

Yes, but can we get back to Caroline Langrishe?

Do feel free to chip in...but be courteous when doing so. Ta.
